Where They Are Now
Andrew Epstein

Now
Last I saw (years ago), Andy was producing television shows like Entertainment Tonight, writing for the L.A. Times and making a butt-load of money.

Then
Andy was a writer with the Herald Examiner who gave us some great write-ups before we met. He noticed our manager was prone to enjoying the Hollywood lifestyle too much, so he said he’d like to take a stab at managing us. Through his sales skill and connections, we were booked right away at all the major venues in L.A. After 18 months as manager, he advised us that we were too much a bunch of f***-up’s (we were, sorry) and bailed out. We were now reduced to playing local clubs and backyard parties after that, and were like great prizefighters now getting our asses whooped in the clubs. That’s a belated testament to his managerial skills. Andy 10, Mechanics 6.

A recent pic of Andy, his lovely wife Jeanne (hey Jeanne!) and his son Max. Andy's been the entertainment producer for two major TV stations in Los Angeles for quite a while. Jeanne is lovingly remembered for turning us on to Haagen-Daz (in pint tubs no less!) after we played in Andy's Sherman Oaks living room in 1978. Thanks for the great pic Andy!
