Local Bands from the 70's!

To me John Cartledge is the guy that got me into graphic design. I was in a division at Hughes that wore freakin' ties everyday, and I'd see John walking around with his hair down to his butt & t-shirts in the midst of all the suits. He worked on a Mac with his headphones all day, this was 1995 before any of that was commonplace, and I thought that was just the coolest way to be at a corporate place without having to be corporate...

I'd seen his band Medicine Man at My Shrink once & they were pretty good, but until Bob Faeser gave me this recently, I had no clue they recorded an LP, and especially one this good. Other than the odd 1st track the music is in a more traditional Springsteen/Van Morrison vein, and the tunes are really solid. Band member names below, and in a side note their drummer Pat later switched to guitar and led MP3 and Giant Sucking Sound, both featured on the bands page. Hope to find more pix and info soon...

(Trax coming shortly...)
